Can you believe it! We had been keeping everything crossed for so long! With the announcement yesterday of Alert Level 2, its lucky we were ready and we have a fantastic team that swung into action quickly to keep our doors open under the new restrictions.
The great news is, Winding Up will go ahead and our education programme is rolling on. Complying with all we need to, we are operating at Level 2; we love it when a plan comes together. We are used to working under pressure and to deadlines with the safety of our patrons and staff always our top priority.
We are following all the latest advice from the Government to keep everyone safe from COVID-19. We’ve been clear that anyone feeling unwell or who has been anywhere near Auckland, should ring Healthline on the dedicated COVID-19 number 0800 358 5453 and not come into the Court Theatre. Winding Up has been altered for gathering limits and social distancing. We are contacting those who have bookings to discuss seats, make changes and cover the new entry conditions. We are also getting in touch with all those involved in the theatre’s education programme this week.
We got our plans together to operate at Level 2 before we opened Jersey Boys, just in case. We invested in safety protection screens made for the auditorium that divide the space down the middle into two zones that cater to 100 people each. Each zone has its own entrance and exit, bar and toilets, so you can attend the theatre safely.
During these times, we believe it is more important than ever to come together and support each other, so stay safe and we look forward to seeing you at The Court Theatre soon.
